About Heather

Heather Elaine Anderson (she/her) is a director, playwright, and actor with a lifelong dream: to make theatre that will change the world.

Heather strives to create pieces that combat oppression and uplift marginalized stories. She loves grappling with big ideas — imperialism, diaspora, surveillance, and internalized oppression, to name a few — and exploring how we can maintain resilience and love as we fight for social justice.

She is also a passionate collaborator, driving processes that champion joy, diversity, and respect. She incorporates into her work perspectives from her queer, Japanese American, and neurodivergent identities, and invites her collaborators to bring their full selves to the table, too.
